Honestly he made the right choice. Ole Miss had good talent and a really bad head coach. He walked into a steak and blowjob deal there. We were the worst P5 team in the country and probably a Bottom 10 worst team at the FBS level.

Look... it might be time to consider easing Pittman out the door, but folks shouldn't think we were sitting on the sort of talent the Green Bay Packers had in the 60s or something. We were a colossal dumpster fire under Chad and Pittman was one of the few that was willing to take the job.

We hired him to right the ship. Pittman pulled that off. It might be time to give him a really nice retirement and bring in someone new but I don't think fans should delude themselves that we were this golden opportunity back then. We were a program that you went too to watch your coaching career die.
