Trying to look at bright spots and move forward

(1). Roydell stepped up and established himself as RB1 moving forward. This is huge and I’m hopeful something that the offense can begin to build an identity around.

(2). Defense looks legit, flies around and plays fast. Wish we could have had this defense any of the Golding years because it’s an improvement imo. They folded late in the Texas game, but forgiving that I think they’ve been solid this year.

(3). Kickers have been great. If our offense is going to struggle, having a good place kicker and good punter helps out.

Where do we go from here? Who knows…. I guess there will be some decision between Ty Simpson and Milroe this week. No idea how that will go or should go.

At this point I’d probably say you go with Milroe who does at least show flashes, and work to tailor the offense around him and minimize his mistakes.

Will it be a championship year if we build on the above? Likely not, but I think we COULD win 9-10 games (including our main rivals) and the West, and at that point have a puncher’s chance in Atlanta.
