Defense looks solid again. Passing game and pass protection need work. I think the underthrow to Burden made the dbs play back a bit and opened these big runs.

I’m sure Cook is a good kid. But this offense is shite. Cooks inability to complete passes more than 5 yards downfield hasn’t changed from last year. It’s the same damn crap that lost this team games last season. He’s the same exact QB. I’d rather have a year of Horn taking some lumps and developing as opposed to Cook throwing short all season.

And what pisses me off even more is Drink declaring the QB battle already over. There was no reason to do that. Now if you pull Cook everyone knows it’s because he sucks. So he’s gonna be forced to keep playing him.

Guys are getting open. Moore can’t throw the ball for em. Cook is the exact same QB he was last year. He doesn’t process the field, inaccurate past 5 yards, and will break the occasional run. Almost half his passing yards will tonight are “throws” to Burden at or behind the line of scrimmage.

At one point I legit thought he was a nfl caliber kicker. He has to have the yips after missing that kick against Auburn last year.

Maybe it’s just a complete lack of talent on the field, I mean it is mostly 3* recruits out there, but this defense just isn’t good.
