Has a number one ranked team ever opened up with an easier four game stretch than UGA?

This is a serious question.
Opening their season by hosting these following powerhouses all in Athens:
Tn Martin
Ball State
South Carolina which is missing an oline this year and soft as baby shite.
UAB

I mean, if teams like Ohio State, Michigan and TCU can coast to the playoffs playing teams like this, why can't UGA?

Did any of them open up with 3 highschool teams at home though?

Just looking back to AP preseason #1 teams through the last 20 years and almost all of them have had at least 1 ranked game in the first 4.
Florida didn't in 2009 but they played Tennessee and Kentucky who both went 7-6.
USC didn't in 2004 but played Virginia Tech (who won the ACC), @ BYU and @ Stanford.
2015 Ohio State is probably the closest. And you could extend it to their first 10 games:
@ Virginia Tech (7-6)
vs Hawaii
vs Northern Illinois
vs Western Michigan
@ Indiana (6-7)
vs Maryland (3-9)
vs Penn State (7-6)
@ Rutgers (4-8)
vs Minnesota (6-7)
@ Illinois (5-7)
Alabama's start to 2018 was pretty weak
vs Louisville (2-10)
vs Arkansas State
@ Ole Miss (5-7)
vs #22 Texas A&M (9-4)
vs ULL
@ Arkansas (2-10)
vs Missouri (8-5)
@ Tennessee (5-7)
Clemson's entire 2019 schedule was a joke.

Someone is jealous. If UT had this schedule they would still find a way to blow it.

Will it matter if we go 15-0 again?

Well, we get South Carolina at home this year just like you guys do so i guess we will find out. They look like a shadow of theirselves from the end of last season though.

Well that team from Knoxville who came to Athens last season looked a lot like a high school team.

They'll play one ranked team in their entire regular season. Easiest schedule ever in cfb's 100+ year history.

Yep, I've never seen an SEC schedule like this before. It's kind if mind-blowing just looking through it.

Poor UT. Always trying to raise themselves up by trying to pull their betters down.
It’s an SEC schedule, dummy. Being in the East, UT plays pretty much of the same schedule. Too bad y’all already had Austin Peay, UTSA and UConn lined up. If not when the SEC screwed up our schedule we could have scheduled some REAL competition

And it'll get even easier for us when UGA travels to ObKnoxiousville for our game with the Vomiteers.

Yep, this is just a typical SEC schedule... nothing to see here folks.
Can't wait for November. That schedule will not have your players properly prepared for entering Neyland.

Don't still be salty at Georgia for fricking up your team's best season in 25 years. Blame South Carolina, the one you gave up 63 points to.

That's because you're too busy thinking 'bout your D-A-D-D-Y !!

So Austin Peay, UTSA and UConn are gonna have the Vols ready. You hill billies are hilarious

South Carolina was a one hit wonder road loss after a huge lockeroom event caused by a player that's thankfully off our roster now. We don't care about SC because we know we will make light work of them at home this year.
The big games are UF on the road as always, Aggies at home, Bama on the road and ofcourse UGA at home.
