Aldi (stylised as ALDI)[3] is the common company brand name of two German multinational family-owned discount supermarket chains operating over 10,000 stores in 20 countries.
Trader Joe’s is a nice store with discount low end products. And it’s owned by Aldi group. Both stores sell primarily the same discounted products under house brands.
It’s just good marketing that makes you feel better about shopping there.

I buy very few things from each store I go to. Aldis no different. I buy some of the food there that are very reasonable and good enough for me and is cheaper than like Trader Joes. I go to Trader Joes for other food that I don't like at Aldis. See what I did here? Same for Whole Foods and all the other food store I go to. I test them and see if I can get the same quality at a cheaper price and/or availablilty.
