If I'm a parent and considering how many of the five stars don't pan out even at the college level or become high draft picks in the NFL, I'd consider telling my kid to take the highest offer if it's substantially more than the second best just based on that.

You can make the NFL without going to Bama, Georgia or errr A&M. Don't wanna upset our friend here by not including his team in the post.

I am thinking the same. I mean there are so many things to consider. What if the kid is overrated and does not make it as a high draft pick? What if he gets severely injured and can't play anymore? What if he gets injured and it hampers him enough that he can't perform at a high rate anymore.

I don't know what these kids are being offered, but I have seen $750,000 for Nwaneri. At 18 years old, you can invest that and let it grow at a 6% rate a year and in 30 years you would have $4,307,618. 40 years? $7,714,288.

The key is keeping your dirty little fingers off of it for that long. If you can control yourself, though.....
