I’ll be reaching out often. I can break away and will be around for weekend visits if she’s not busy. My sister is already primed to go see her a few times a week if she needs. I guess I’ll always meddle, but I don’t want to be the dad that hovers, also can’t be the one to not.

This is all new to me. She’s the first in our family to go to a large University. having a tough time getting a parking pass so she’ll be stuck with no car most of the time. I was gonna rent at a monthly lot a few miles from creswell but they have to move the cars by 6am on saturdays which is terrible bc she wants to attend the games. I know she can Uber and take the bus, but I just don’t trust people in general.

I never did dorm living. I moved straight into River Mill.

We found common interests /compromise with the girls across the hall (we'd watch Melrose Place over there and they'd watch Law and Order at our apartment).

Trivia nights. Dancing/bar hopping. Sight seeing / day hikes in the area.

Find new people. Try new things. If something is too awkward, don't go back. But now you know.

I worked my way through college, and had work friends over a lot as well. Restaurants are a great way to meet new people (coworkers and regulars).
