Dorms have become increasingly less social also. Nothing like no AC or internet back in the day to force you to socialize.
Biggest thing from recent experience is to get to know the people around her in dorm.
Spike squad would be a great social tool.
I am not up on all the social or interest clubs.
Meddling is still your job!
