Yep.

That's going to be a given though. If a scenario exists where more than 2 teams can be undefeated, then an undefeated team will have to be left out by any system that exists.

Just like Auburn didn't get to play in the BCS title game that one year they went undefeated but finished 3rd in the BCS to two other undefeated teams.

The reality is that it's very unlikely to actually happen though. Realistically, having 3 undefeated teams NATIONALLY is rare.
