Florida with two national championships (Men's golf and men's track and field) and two second place finishes (baseball and women's gymnastics) is ranked 35th????
But Tennessee with ZERO championships is the best?
It's because football gets the highest weight and men's basketball the next highest. Golf and T&F are considered secondary sports.

I work in television where income is based on ratings. Struggling stations sometimes run promos claiming they're number one when they're not. They will focus on one time slot or demographic where they might be number one while overall they're way behind.
Sounds like something similar is happening here.
