Maybe 20 years ago. Way too much money has been invested recently to say the "majority" doesn't think it's a big deal.
The only programs who haven't invested tens of millions of dollars into major renovations and/or brand new stadiums in the past 10-15 years are Georgia and Missouri. And I'd bet that changes very soon for Georgia.

Only makes a profit at 5 (at best) schools. You've got the Big 4 (Arky/LSU/MS schools) and MAYBE SCar.
