DVH said down the stretch that Hollan was suffering from “shin splints” and mentioned that’s why his velo was down, and it’s why Hollan got moved to the backend of the starting rotation late in the season so as to give him a few more days of rest.

Can't imagine trying to pitch while pushing off and not being able to feel from the knee down.
