These guys got outmaneuvered by Brett Yormark and the Big 12. By going early, the Big 12 cut the line. The PAC 12 is now waiting in line behind a bunch of other potential deals that networks are considering, such as the NBA, UFC, NHL, etc.

It was a brilliant move by Yormark. It's valuable lesson in not waiting around if you're not the Big 10 or the SEC.
