Defensive culture changed dramatically under Golding because of scheme (often too complex) and accountability (or lack thereof). He may truly be a defensive savant, as Saban loved him, but he couldn't make it transfer to onfield performance

Offense ran through Bryce Young. His injury played a large part in the season outcomes. But, OC called games like an NFL coordinator. Too conservative, as if equal talent were on both sides of the field. BOB lacked creativity to game plan for specific matchups and adjust.

Not sure what Rees will bring to the table, but Steele is a known quantity. He will demand toughness and accountability. I expect the D to play hard, attack, and most importantly finish.

Not sure where it will lead, but I am glad changes were made.
