I think age is starting to show a little but this coming year will be the real test of whether last year was a fluke. Even with the departures, Bama is still easily the most talented West team.
This is the same Coach Saban that fired his OC a week before the title game. Coaching is just as much a part of the math as talent and always will be. Pete Golding was finally let go after 5 years of subpar coaching because and only because we hit the saturation point.
Talent vs results just became overwhelming. Even for Coach Saban's ego.

Is it still the same Saban who fired Lane Kiffin? Because if so, those two sentences above seem contradictory. That same Saban wouldn’t have accepted mediocre defense for 5 years.
