Saban has said many times that he won't go after a transfer unless he thinks that player will start.
It's pretty obvious that they're going after Buchner because of his connection to Rees, and the fact that all of the QBs on the roster currently are underwhelming.

At this point I'm hoping that Buchner is good enough to beat out Milroe, and that he doesn't completely suck arse, but I think this upcoming season might be the worst since Saban's first season at Alabama, and the end of the dynasty.
