Kind of a weird article. Makes it seem like they are moving to a different country.

I've always perceived OU fans (at least E. Oklahoman trashy people) as arrogant. It's kinda funny to read their people talk about how much better things are in SEC towns.

Hard to believe how complimentary they are towards Fayetteville and the University. I’ve had the same experience as you. Growing up in Fort Smith, we’d have Okies pull out in front of us on a daily basis and they invariably had an OU sticker and/or license plate attached. I’ve been shot at in McAlister and whipped like a dog in Vian (deserved that:) and Eastern OK really is the Wild West. On the other hand, you could buy 3.2 beer over there at 18, which meant they’d sell it to you at 16 if you could make it to Moffet without getting in a wreck.

All in all, I’m not a fan of the state but maybe, just maybe becoming more “Southern” will rub off on them and they’ll be more neighborly ?? in the years to come!

In some ways they are. The SEC is totally different then other conferences. Our game experiences are second to none.
