Has there ever been a report of a dog who didn't know how to swim?

Also, birds float in water. Does that equate as "swimming"?

Molly knows how, but she has only once in her life and that was when I fired up the four-wheeler with her across a creek that she went way upstream to cross. She hates it, apparently.

In principle, dogs have better developed instincts (including the instinct of survival, orientation (it seems to me that dogs feel better how to balance), self-preservation).
