Can’t say I really recall a chant as popular or with as much non home team focused vibe as that outside maybe a pro sport? Any of you older folks have any input?

Maybe I’m just forgetting. This is the one day I’ve skipped coffee. It just seems to me though it’s such a brand centric and almost culturally impacting (in terms of college football in the mid 2010s) meme of sorts it’s basically totally unique its own right. Yeah, Miami and FSU had a lot of people riled up looking for beef in the 90s but since Saban has been at Alabama, teams, fans and players straight up look in the camera with a smile on their face and yell WWB like it’s some kind of bad of pride.

I never recall it. But, it's a different era. It just kind of went viral and kept its legs.

I want to say that it started with LSU-Auburn in 2011. Had a coworker who is an Auburn fan that was texting me saying he hoped Bama beat LSU's arse because they were chanting "we want Bama" in the 4th quarter.
