Bama baseball use to be solid. Mid to late 90's, it was #1-#2, LSU and Alabama. Alabama CWS trips '96, '97, '99 . They were #1 seed in Omaha both '96, '97. Alabama also had solid success in the SEC tournament.
They got squeezed in '98. They should of hosted a regional but were sent to the Sunken Diamond, Stanford. I believe its was still a shorter field back the 48 teams rather than 64.
Bama continued success in early 2000's. They fell behind with Wells retirement, the building boom in the SEC, and they didn't have the scholarship advantages other SEC schools have.
