State folks - wasn't Isiah Mosley thought to be going to State originally?

And then ended up deciding on Mizzou?
I ask because man, if State had an offensive guy like that this season they could be an extremely scary team. A team that defends like that with Tolu down low....add in a bucket getter like Mosley would be tough to deal with.

I think you might be confusing Mississippi State with Missouri State for this. Isiah is from Columbia, MO and he ended up going to Missouri State, where he averaged over 20+ points a game.
It's largely believed he went there due to not liking the previous coaching staff, once Dennis Gates took over he was able to bring Mosley back home.
I don't think he was ever planning on attending Mississippi State, but I could be wrong.

No it was Mississippi State. He visited and the prevailing thought was they had a good shot.
Don't know what the timeline was in his State visit and Gates getting the Mizzou job and getting him on campus, though.

Interesting. I did not know that. Glad he ended up back in COMO.

He's a great offensive player.
Gates has done an incredible job in roster building and then coaching them. You guys deserve this after the last decade or so of basketball. Nobody is going to want to see you guys in a 7/2 or 6/3 game in March.
