Not saying Wooden was a bad coach. He was a respectable ~.65 over his career prior to Sam "Papa" Gilbert joining UCLA. Suddenly Wooden jumps from ~.65 to ~.95 and goes on his decade run. Sam Gilbert was a known mobster and yet Wooden got to keep all the banners.
USC has been proven to cheat in all sports and was a clear case of "loss of institutional control" worthy of the Death Penalty. USC was cheating at Women's Soccer and Volleyball in addition to the major sports.
If a SEC school did what UCLA or USC did, the NCAA would have burned it all down and salted the earth after.
