we also fumbled the ball into the endzone.

You got those points right back.

Not many people talking about Bama's three turnovers. The two penalties (holding and unsportsmanlike) were a 14 point swing. We missed two field goals.

I still hold to the thought that the unsportsmanlike made no difference on that first LSU TD drive. The kick return was a nice one and LSU marched down field fairly easily. The holding call is not a swing of any points: it was a blatant holding (though not as blatant as those that were uncalled on the 2 previous plays) that kept the closest person to making a play from being able to.

Not to mention I felt like Julio missed two deep balls that would've really changed the game.

Julio is a hell of a player, but LSU's coverage was pretty good. Peterson did a hell of a job. I don't remember a deep ball where Julio was wide open and just missed it, someone was usually there to disrupt it.

Alabama was clearly the better team, that holding call was bullshite.. The score looked a lot better than it actually was. LSU will be back though, just not this year.

It was called on the LT who was nowhere near the play. Either way it was called and it took a run that either put us on the one yard line or scored off the board.

We'll just have to disagree on this one. Having called plays before it's much easier to call them when your drive start is in the middle of the field. If anything it took all our momentum away.

The first one a safety was trying to get over the top and wouldn't have made it with either a ball on a line in the hole (a la Brett Favre) or if Julio keeps running and adjust to the ball better. The second one he had the corner beat badly and the ball just went thru his hands or right past them. Either way they are both balls that we need him or another receiver to make a play. We need D. Byrd.
