You don’t take Michigan seriously, the team that curb stomped Ohio State that took the Dawgs to the limit in the semifinal. Rather you don’t take Michigan seriously, the team that dominated Ohio State the last few seasons. I’ll agree on Penn State, straight farce.
I think programs strong enough like an Alabama, Georgia, LSU can withstand any long term damage unlike Nebraska. A bad hire won’t tank the program, the recruiting grounds are too rich and the brands have too much success over the last decade or two. I’d argue Florida would be in that realm but the Gators haven’t had a legitimately “great” team in fifteen years after some rather lackluster hires.

If Auburn moved to the ACC or B10/12 they would wither on the vine quickly.
Tennessee could have moved to the ACC 20 years ago and been ok but the ACC is a dead conference walking today. 20 years ago it would have been a natural fit with GaTech, Miami, UNC, VU, Maryland, and Virginia tech
