Don't get me wrong, I was alive to enjoy the 1980 NC, but let's face it, and this is not popular among some, even our fanbase, but did we REALLY have a NC in cfb until we had a playoff? The polls was a horrible way to pick a NC IMO. The BCS was a joke. To me, the playoffs began the TRUE national championship era of cfb. I am proud of the 1980 NC, but the last 2 seasons are something to REALLY be proud of.

Why would the BCS not count? That's the system everyone agreed to.

Every system that has been in place is the system everyone agreed to, though, right?
(When teams enter into the NCAA they agree to the system and rules that are in place)

Don't get me wrong, I agree that it should count, just not too sure about the argument you (and others) use.
