50 years ago the players weren't spoiled divas that think they are God's gift to this earth and that they are owed something. Players today aren't just satisfied with having the opportunity to get a free education, free housing, and free meals. Now schools have to offer them money for them to come play which angers me to no end, if it wasn't for the school you would have no value. The recruits act like they are doing the school they choose a favor by going there to play football, it used to be the other way around. We are giving the players too much power, the NIL and transfer portal has ruined college football!

College sports were different back then, too. Now, people are looking to make millions off of these kids for what? The relatively low cost of an education versus the revenue they generate? Can't just look at the players and cast a stone, their behavior is a response to the very big business college sports has become. If someone generates that much money, their cut isn't too much to ask.
