Once he became a local celeb, he didn't like being hounded. He's the kind of guy you just sit down next to, order your beer, and wait for him to start talking. And he would. He's a talker. If you sit down and say "You're Ort! Tell me a story!" he would dismiss you.

LOL. He did that to me once. I took my grandmother to lunch at the old Normaltown Cafe and we ran into Ort. They had known each other for some time so we all ate together. Fast forward a couple years and I run into Ort at Trapeze. I said hi and mentioned that he knew my grandmother. He said, 'I know' and went back to his beer.
