When was the last time the SEC POY didn’t make it to New York prior to this year.
SEC POY since 2010
22- Hooker(QB)- No invite
21- Young(QB)- Heisman winner
20- D. Smith(WR)- Heisman winner
19- Burrow(QB)- Heisman winner
18- Tua(QB)- 2nd place
17- Kerryon Johnson(RB)-No invite
16- Hurts(QB)- No invite
15- Henry (RB)- Heisman winner
14- Cooper(WR)- 3rd place
13- Mason (RB)- no invite
12- Manziel(QB)- Heisman winner
11- Richardson(RB)- 3rd place
10- Newton(QB)- Heisman winner

Been 1 QB to win SEC POY to not be a finalist since 2010 prior to this year. As you see the SEC POY is normally a good indication of one of the best players in the country.
End of the day Hooker is better than Bennet athletically. Issue Hooker has going against him is he isn’t surrounded by 5*s and this is only UT 2nd year under Heupel. If Hooker played for Bama or UGA he would had been a finalist if not won it.
