With the transfer portal, NIL and now a 12-team playoff, it will be much more difficult for the top teams to dominate at a dynasty type of level that would be needed to topple Saban - so, in that regard, it's improbable that Kirby or anyone else can surpass - also I see with NIL and Transfer Portal - the burnout rate on these head coaches will be higher.

I largely agree with this. What could work for Kirby is longevity. I don't think anyone will win 6 titles in as short a window as Saban did at Bama. But if Kirby can keep his recruiting up, I can see a possibility where he averages 2 titles in each decade coaching. So let's say Kirby has 2 titles from 2016-2025, 2 more from 2026-2035 and 2 more from 2036 to 2045. That puts him at 70 years old (Saban's age now) with 6 NC's (compared to 7 for Saban now). 30 years as a college HC to 27 for Saban right now. At that point, the discussion might be warranted.
