If that's true, I would have to agree with Pete. IF that is how Saban approaches NIL, he does need to retire.

So if Saban doesn’t fire Golding some posters think Saban needs to be replaced, and if Saban policy is to share NIL money among the team he needs to be replaced, though players are free to negotiate other individual deals.

What are some other reasons Saban needs to be replaced?
