Agree, but Arkansas law enforcement proves damn near every day that they think they are the law, rather than being entrusted to enforce the law, which requires them to actually know and understand the law.

Look at Act 746. Arkansas has been a constitutional carry state for almost a decade, but it took a homegrown gun rights group putting a bounty on law enforcement and defending people in court to get cops to quit arresting people for carrying a weapon, when it was their right to do so. Hell, we still have issues with some law enforcement on it.

Look at the First Amendment audit people, and the harassment they get in Arkansas over constitutionally protected activity. We do a piss poor job of requiring knowledge and understanding of the law, by law enforcement in this state.

Didnt play college sports, but our coaches growing up ALWAYS said the same thing. As athletes of the ______ football/basketball team, you're held to a higher standard and will be punished accordingly. If the law doesn't, the coach/school will. "nothing good happens after midnight" was preached to us every friday after games.

Im sure Pittman was being old school with this thing, like everything else about him.

Unfortunately this generation isn't equipped to deal with public humiliation very well. They also don't seem to take personal responsibility at times.
