I've got to admit, we did ourselves no favors with that very public investigation of his relationship with his assistant. For two weeks, we were in the news and what come of it? Sympathy for Harsin. Anybody who can't admit that was a self imposed black eye, is pretty stupid.

I never knew we had a public investigation about his relationship with an assistant?

The investigation started late Fall after complaints from former coaches and players - regarding Harsin's treatment of them

New year and I believe Justin Hokenson was the one who started, or made viral, the rumor about the assistant

Either way the fact that it played out in view of the public and Gogue sent out a press release about it, instills zero confidence in our Admin by incoming coaches. It should have been handled internally. If there was an issue then disciplinary action should have been taken internally. Only if it rose to the level of termination should it have gone public.

It was all over the news. ESPN devoted time to covering it. People across the nation were talking about it. How did reporters find out our athletic department was investigating a possible improper relationship between the HC and a subordinate? Complaints from former coaches and players to the AD, next thing ESPN is talking about it. Harsin was asked about it repeatedly by the media. Perception by everyone outside of the program was, Auburn was looking for a way of getting rid of Harsin without paying his contract. Right or wrong, that's what everybody thought not wearing O&B glasses.

Now he's fired, and we are in another shitshow coaching search. You think that shite that went on last Winter might have a little to do with coaches being a little apprehensive about coming here? Ask anybody not an Auburn fan, what their opinion is of our boosters and board. They laugh in your face. Right or wrong, that's the boat we are all sitting in right now.
