That stat line is from the NCAA statistics site. The columns are: 8 games, 69 penalties, 579 yards, 72.38 penalty yards per game. Alabama is 121st out of 131 FBS teams. That is NOTHING but lack of coaching and lack of accountability. And that is horrendous. Most of Saban’s Alabama teams have ranked in the top 25 for fewest penalty yards per game. The last 2 years we have been nearer to the bottom. One year is an aberration, two years is the beginning of a disturbing and dangerous trend. This is a huge red flag on the staff.
