Saban is only going where the money is, I highly doubt he leaves Bama. But it would not surprise me if he uses Washington as a ploy to get more money out of boosters of Bama. Ranked #1 and a job with rich alumni opening up is perfect opportunity.

OK, we pay him more! Does he not deserve it??? We have the money, so lets pay it!

What happens if Bama gets to the SECCG and UF stomps a hole in them? I could see Bama getting there undefeated. I dont see Bama getting past UF.

It would still be an unbellievable year for our team and I would be proud of them for what they have accomplished. These guys have done a great job so far and to make it to the SEC CG would be awesome.

The idea that CNS will leave UA for money simply makes no sense. First of all, he took a pay cut to come back to college ball. Second, we would match any offer to keep him. If he leaves, it will be for some other reason. I don't believe he left LSU for the money. At the time, he wanted to see what he could do at the next level.

I actually thought 7-5. I thought we would need a break to go 8-4. I had us losing the Clemson game.

I thought 8-4, with outside chance of 9-3(extreme outside chance).
I had losses to:
Clemson
Georgia
Tennessee
Lsu
Auburn
But thought we could sneak one or two of them for the 8-4 or the 9-3. Needless to say, they have acheived much more than I had hoped. If we don't win a game, it would suck, but they've done better than expected, so I'm pleased with this season. Btw, now that the koolaid is flowing, I think 12-0 is very doable.

I don't remember, how did that turn out?

Erroneous. On an annual basis, yes he did. In guaranteed money, he got more from Bama.

More guaranteed money over 8 years and more probility of success for future big $$. There is no doubt that he thought going to Alabama was in his best financial interests on a long term basis, even if he took a $1.25 million per year pay cut over the first 3 years. Of course, that assumes that he intends to stay at Alabama for a term of more than 4 years before the transaction starts to pay off. I like that thought!
