Amazing job BK has done this year. After the Fsu game I really thought this would be another tough year for Lsu. They aren't the same team now. Gonna be a close game and Bama has serious issues on the road for whatever reason..if not for Bryce Lsu would be favored..could go either way honestly

It's still a patchwork team with a lot of transfers and true FR starting so I think most LSU fans still think there will be some rough times until the roster gets stabilized.

I'm still concerned our DBs will have too many breakdowns to prevent Bama big plays and the game could get out of hand early. I'm also worried we give up a big return on ST. It will be interesting to see if House can get our D to play solid in the first 2 Qtrs of the game. He's done well with adjustments, but we have fallen behind every SEC game so far.

A quick tie-in here — Matt House served as DC for Kentucky under Mark Stoops. I think he's considered as part of the Steve Spagnuolo defensive tree.

Eric Wolford, OL coach at Alabama, also served at Kentucky under Mark Stoops. Wolford was actually recruited out of high school by Bob Stoops, and played for and coached with Bill Snyder at Kansas State.

Being the former head coach for both, Mark Stoops worked with Mike Stoops at Arizona, who falls under the Hayden Fry/Bill Snyder umbrella as well. Mike Stoops was hired in an off-the-field role by Saban at Alabama.

All this to say, should be interesting to watch the OL/DL chess match in this one, as both coaches have some familiar branches weaving through all those same systems.

Basically, a lot of connections to Stoops.
