First games of the year typically mean very little in college football. Especially ones against a team with a new QB in their system Bo Nix.

Teams make their biggest improvements in weeks 3 to 5 usually.

I have the vols winning 58 to 41 over UGA. We will have our most clutch WR Cedric Tilman back and will probably be healthier on defense as well.

Oregon scored 70 points in their next game.

The reality is simple. UGA's offense and defense are both elite this year. The only things that have slowed them down this season is where UGA was -2 in turnovers (giving opponents short fields making it easier to score) and when UGA had issues getting into the end zone and settled for FG's. That has happened in 2 games... in which UGA punted a grand total of 3 times.

Yes, UGA could have a bad game against TN. If they do... TN could win. But that's what UT needs to win... UGA to play poorly. If UGA plays well and UT plays well, UGA will win by a couple of scores (which is what the line says)
