I don't think this is the "gotcha" you want it to be. Without Texas, A&M has grown into a world-class research institution entirely on it's own and with 1/3 the resources Texas has.

...which was meant to be a branch, is still miles behind Texas in almost every single ranking, and is still known as the safe haven for applicants rejected from Texas

Your school literally registered "utrejects.com" so people could find your school easier

Everything you just mentioned were isolated one time incidents. Meanwhile, friday night pep rallies, jizz jars, "Draggieland", obsession over the school you couldn't get into, etc. are all every-day events that you cultists are trying to constantly convince others are wicked cool.
