A lot of the war of 1812 was fought up north. Of course, the British ended up burning the white house, as it was, down. The Americans were going to deliver and liberate Canadians once and for all and each time they invaded they got their backside handed to them. To this day, the Canadians remember the War of 1812 much differently than the Americans.

Most dont realize we fougt England in the War of 1812 and not Canada.
