That's not what Pittman said...
After describing symptoms & potential time lost, he left it at wait and see.
When asked a follow up question if KJ was in concussion protocol, he simply said, "I didn't say that".
It's more what he didn't say...

He didn't confirm or deny it. Someone said to him, "it sounds like KJ's in concussion protocol" and he replied, "I didn't say that." Then he went to the next question.
