Took my first trip to Columbia, MO this weekend and really enjoyed it. Missouri has always been one of my least favorite teams and probably was my least favorite for a long time once they joined the east. They are the only school with a kansas-uga crossover of any importance. As they've become irrelevant in all sports, florida and auburn have remained as most hated with tech and missouri next up.

That said, Columbia was really cool. Enjoyed the campus, the downtown was nice and quaint. Did Harpo's on Friday night. Had Shakespeare's pizza and hopped around the other bars on Saturday before and after the game. Didn't really check out the tailgating but the game atmosphere was unfortunately really good, obviously. Didn't really talk with many missouri fans, honestly, as we had our own group but everyone seemed nice and didn't really care to shite talk or anything. Just happy to be out and partying.

Overall, it's a solid B+.

Updated personal SEC Campus/Town Rankings:
1. Athens, GA
2. Nashville, TN (doesnt actually count but it's elite)
3. Baton Rouge, LA
4. Lexington, KY
5. Columbia, MO
6. Knoxville, TN
7. Auburn, AL
131. Columbia, SC

I didn't go this weekend but have been before. It's extremely underrated IMO and doesn't get near the credit it deserves. If memory serves, the litle downtownish area was like a very scaled down version of Athens with all the little restaurants and bars all in the same walkable area. Campus and stadium are meh but as you said it exceeded the expecations I had going in.

Used to call on Midway USA there, many a night at the CCBroiler which was a great steakhouse for such a small town.

Improvements to the stadium really worked aesthetically

Been to a game there before and unfortunately didn't have much time to walk around the town or campus but liked what little I saw and their fans were extremely friendly.

Not much to the stadium but went before
the recent upgrade.
