Back in the day the SEC had the most cut throat league with Saban and Urban Meyer and Bobby Petrino and a whole bunch of other goons.

And the B1G was a soft, academic nerdy league with soft nerd schools like Purdue, northwestern, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

But then something changed.

Urban Meyer went to Ohio state and brought that cut throat sec Attitude and recruiting culture to the mid west.

Now the B1G has programs making really big boy moves.

Sparty is throwing Aggy-level money around for coaches, Penn state hired a shark like James Franklin, and now 2 B1G programs have fired their HC within the first 5 weeks of the season (Nebraska and Wisconsin).

There are some real savages in that league, and like the sec they have 2 playoff contender teams (Ohio state and Michigan). Fortunately for the sec UGA and Bama are in different divisions so it’s easier for us to get two playoff teams in each year.

But man the B1G firing two coaches before Bryan Harsin is a sign that they care more about winning in the B1G now. Add that with them taking in two 5-0 teams from the biggest tv market in the USA and man the B1G is making big moves.

If you’re a fan of a sec team you should be concerned.

I suspect PSU is the best Big 10 team and their prize will be getting throttled by the SEC Champ in the playoffs. Whether it is UGA, Bama, UT, or Ole Miss.
