It is being reported that he made "several mistakes" during his evaluation of Tua on Sunday in Miami's game against the Bills.

Circle the wagons and find a fall guy. Old school shenanigans.

Everything about the Tua situaiton is bizarre. The handling of the Bills hit, the treatment after the Cincy hit (e.g. letting him fly home right after the injury, reports of him watching a movie on the flight home, etc.), and now firing the independant consultant? Curious to seee the findings from the NFLPA's investigation.

Was he a team doctor or one who works for the NFL? I’d like to know what mistakes where made and how do you do make those mistakes.

Tua still could have got the other concussion without the first one.

I read one tweet, which I can’t find now, that said the doctor was fired by the NFLPA. Didn’t understand that, must have been a mistake, right?

Or does the nflpa hire the “independent” doctor to protect the players?

Either way, this is going to get messy.

Tua is getting his second opinion and lawyering up. He needs to release the hounds.

This article says the NFLPA has the authority to fire the Unaffiliated Neurotrauma Consultant, but I believe the NFL hires them: SB Nation Article

The NFL is mainly concerned with protecting the NFL Shield, not the players.
