Because of the FedEx years. You cheated your asses off and won 10 of 11 from '84 to '94. It cost you a bunch of sanctions and bowl bans and a TV ban and put you near the top of the all-time list for NCAA penalties. But hey, y'all got this meaningless stat out of it, so it was all worth it.
