That would be key. However, part of Mullen's problem is he likes to hire his buddies and absolutely will refuse to fire them no matter how poorly they perform.
HIs issues as a recruiter are well known. But his bigger issue, imo, is his poor staff hires and stubbornness in making changes when things don't work.

This sounds exactly like a main complaint from many Pinkel detractors over the years. Sometimes loyal to a fault.
