Bama got a penalty in this game for a faskmask on a wideout catching a pass on the sideline in this game. If you look at the replay both players had each other’s face mask with fingers wrapped around it. Should have been a no call or offsetting fouls.

The safety play as I explained wasn’t a safety. The ref called a targeting play with roughing. They review the play and the penalty is dropped because the ref said it was miscommunication between officials. He should have corrected that immediately after it was announced and they figured out what happened. Instead they go to review and drop both penalties. You can’t review roughing. It looks like they fixed that penalty with the review. Doesnt matter if they actually did or not it had that appearance. As bad as they were I think they did fix it on review.

The Play that knocked out the starting QB that was a bullshite call. They are calling that now as a player safety thing but it really is meant more for dirty plays. If the QB was standing flat on the ground and a player hit him and fell on him then ok call it as a player safety thing. I can understand that. The QB had jumped in the air and added a little spin as the threw the ball. Dallas Turner came unblocked and left his feet to tackle him. He didn’t hit him to late it was a good hit. How is Dallas Turner supposed to not land on him like that when he jumps and Turner has to leave his feet to try and tackle him. It was a bad call. You can’t expect a defensive player to not land on a player with all his weight when both players leave their feet. I realize it is a judgement call but that is one where the refs has to realize the circumstances of the play and call as fair as possible to both players.

All that is just this one game that Bama didn’t get a break or a call. Last year an Arky receiver totally shoved a Bama DB with both hands and pushed off. He caught the ball and ran 70 or 80 yards for a TD. It ended up being a one score game. We got no call on that. It could have really mattered. Bama gets away with stuff and also gets no calls when they should. Everyone else does also. I can show you a bunch of missed calls over the years Bama didn’t get that would have mattered.
