Uf fans awkwardly avoiding this subject.

I'm not sure why people always mention UF on this subject. How many other teams have 2 other IN STATE rivals in FSU and Miami? Also remember that I think from 1980 up until 2010, those 3 schools were responsible for for like 1/3rd, maybe half of all the title teams for like 30/40 years. Plus, the FL legislator has also wanted UF to play UCF or USF most years. Then UF has had to play UGA at a neutral site. Back in the 90's UF decided that they could not logically play FSU and Miami every year, so Miami was dropped. Miami fans still scream that UF was scared. The schedule just did not allow it. Then you have UF/LSU. You tell me when and how could UF schedule more OOC schools without losing a home game? What would UF gain by going to bumfrick Nebraska to play? The state of Florida has 50x the talent and UF still can't win recruiting in it's own state. Hmmm, maybe we should start branching out and ditch Florida??

Also to add, most years, UF has one of the toughest schedules in the country (until FSU started sucking). When you have a permanent rival in FSU, it makes it difficult to add other teams. If we scrapped FSU, we could take on more OOC teams but I don't think the state will ever allow it. It remains to be seen what happens when Texas and OU join the conference??
