I don't know if embarrassing is accurate.
Fair enough. The LSU performance was embarrassing.
Maybe disappointing would be a more fitting word. At least based on what the Clemson fans who I spoke with at the game were saying.
EDIT: There may be OL and WR issues, but DJ threw some really bad balls in the first half. He did seem to settle down a bit as the game went on.

DJ's father "Big Dave" is a basketcase.
Think it takes a toll on DJ mentally. DJ has a different personality.
It surprises me Dabo offered him after meeting the father.

It's interesting you say this because the girl behind me was a Clemson Alum who was highly critical of DJ, saying that he didn't have the "Clemson Spirit" like Trevor or Deshawn, and that she didn't like him as a qb.
But she did say that he's a really nice guy and that his family is great.
Not saying that you're wrong or lying, just relaying what I heard last night.
I don't know much about DJ or his family honestly.

Big Dave takes a lot of shots at Dabo and the coaching staff on Twitter.
Apparently the coaches don't talk to him but are recruiting his brother for a defensive position. The brother lives with his mother.
Big Dave has said the brother will go to the program that offers him the most NIL money and it sounds like that is Big Dave's decision, not the brother's choice.
DJ blocks BIg Dave on social media accounts. When people trash Dabo, keep in mind he's been a better father figure than Big Dave to DJ. His father puts his son in an awkward position.
Big Dave is going trash Dabo if he benches DJ for the new kid.

That is interesting. I guess that girl and her family behind me did not know what they were talking about because they insisted that DJ's family were really nice people

A lot of Ohio State fans I know said they felt confident they'd land DJ's brother. But that was a few week ago since I've interacted with them, so I'm not sure if that' still the case.

Why relive the good ‘ole days days when “Clemsoning” actually meant something? Y’all have a bigger problem: AR15 is coming to air out your schools. Run for cover and thank Dan Mullen.

All of the coaches are wary of Big Dave now.
I thought it was weird a kid would come all the way from California to play at Clemson unless he wanted to be far away from his parents

He did inherit the best qb in the country.

Can anyone shed light on what the deal is in LSU circles?
Idiotic ego, nothing more.
I wanted Napier or Aranda. I think Kelly will work out, but the thought process behind the hire was conservative to a fault. Take the established successful guy, hope nobody notices the insane amount of money spent on the hire, oversell the risk on the up-and-comers so that you can’t be blamed if the “safe pick” fails or the “risky pick” pans out.
