This hasn't always been bullshite but it's been bullshite since at least the early 00s when recruiting truly became a national concept.

Let's take ND's 2018 class by recruit's state. Fourteen of them were from southern states and 3 from CA.

In the 1980s? Yeah. Georgia locked up Georgia, Florida/Florida State/Miami locked up Florida. But no more.

So you’re saying the SEC doesn’t actually have an advantage when it comes to talent.

That’s an ice cold take if I’ve ever seen one.
