Alright baw/bloke, lay it out for us.
What is your unique life experience that we would find interesting?
I've already seen some of this pieced together from the other threads we've been in, but from someone else's perspective (who has no idea what you've already said), give us a teaser.

I’m in the movie The Game of Their Lives. From that experience, Gavin Rossdale owes me money from a bet, and Gerard Butler bragged to me about the details of how he hooked up with an extra the night before.
Was in a formal debate vs. professors located 50ft from Stephen Hawking’s office.
Middle name is from a foreign language.
Caused Jim James to hang up on his girlfriend because he wanted to answer my question.
Current Archbishop of Canterbury came up to me to introduce himself, but his assistant held out her hand first by a split second, so I was shaking hers and awkwardly left him hanging.
Finished the complete works of Fyodor Dostoyevsky after two years, and now currently reading a 5 biographical volume set about him.

Pasted from another thread regarding C. S. Lewis:
How did you end up as a regular in the chaplain’s office?
quote:
I used to sit in his favorite reading chair while sipping sherry once a fortnight in the chaplain’s office of Magdalene College. Then we would climb through the window on top of the roof and smoke cigarettes overlooking the master’s house where Rowan Williams (former Archbishop of Canterbury and chaplain to the queen) lived.

My buddy is a Prof there, and he introduced us, since they were classmates at Oxford. My buddy’s father in law was Lewis’s chaplain and friend at Cambridge.
But we’d discuss philosophy, theology, surfing, and gin. He was a good conversationalist so we picked each others brains. The chaplain is a great friend now and currently a priest in Cornwall.

He and I were involved in getting Jordan Peterson to the university, and inviting for a semester Fellowship, but was later sabotaged by the student union.

Whoa!
So how in the world did you end up on an SEC football message board?!

My close (and very influential) family member moved across the country to attend law school at Bama 20 years ago. I converted to SEC then.

Btw forgot, the filmmaker I referenced early was a sponsored professional skateboarder as well, but also JPs assistant on his Australian tour.

What's something we would never think to eat (or drink), but is, in fact, delicious?

You also mentioned Terrence Malick, I think.
That baw taught philosophy at MIT.

Ah, I might not be the one to ask on this one, but I do enjoy Haggis a lot. First time I tried boudin balls at The Chicken & the Bayou shop near the Atchafalaya Bridge, it reminded me of haggis.
For drink I’m not sure. My Iranian friend gave me something once but don’t remember the name.

And translated Heidegger.

Are you sure you're not Prince Harry?

Posted on 8/10/22 at 3:25 pm to paperwasp
Haha no. But I was on an train from Beijing to Xian drinking/smoking in the club car all night into the morning. And this random Chinese guy who joined us kept calling me and my friends, “Prince Harry” or “Prince William”. He only knew about 5 English words. He got so drunk and passed out eventually.

Is it weird that I want to know more about these two stories, both with equal enthusiasm?

I had assumed Alyosha comes from The Brothers, no?

It was 5 days of filming, 12 hours per day. We had the same schedule for scenes, breakfast/lunch/dinner...etc. He saw a girl in the background, and would chat her up when there was nothing to do. Between filming there is so much downtime, waiting, and just standing around. Anyway, he said he was going to invite her out, but they never went out, but instead went back to his hotel. He proceeds to brag about how he "shagged her all night" (Wes Bentley, Zachery Ty Bryan, Louis Mandylor, and some others were present). He sounded like a middle schooler the whole time, which matched his personality at that point. He was kind of a doofus.
I won't go into much into the second story just because it would give too much away. All is to say, it took place at Gonville and Caius (pronounced like "keys"), and I represented the one of the oldest student union groups in the world.
