McCarthy is by far the best author of the modern era. Just absolutely magnificent. Child of God and Blood Meridian are so good they make me weep. His writing is so damn excellent. I could go on...

The Road made me weep for a different reason. It crushed my soul as the worst book I’ve ever read by far.
